Application of natural surfactants for improving the leaching of zinc and copper from different soils

Threats connected with contamination of environment heavy metals include negative influence on human and animal health also negatively the biodiversity ecosystems. While applying various techniques metal remediation from soils, an important problem is adsorption ions solid particles. In this respect, composition properties soil strongly affect efficiency process. Therefore, aim study was to determine copper(II) zinc(II) leaching soils different types (luvisols, podzols, chernozem) by means natural surfactants: Quillaja saponaria extract containing saponins biosurfactant produced P. aeruginosa belonging rhamnolipids. The studies included both removal tests evaluation ecotoxicity applied surfactants towards microorganisms. results obtained allow conclude that especially Q. constitute effective environmentally safe agent, allowing achieve elimination luvisols over 80% for 70% ions.
